Route 66 Sprint Triathlon

I am cracking up at some of the pictures taken from the Triathlon this last weekend.  There are like a 1,000 pictures of people grunting and sweating their @$$3$ off.  People were fast and pushing themselves hard to make great time.  Then there is me with a big cheezie grin.  I biked the MS-150 in Dallas a year ago.  All the photos were pretty calm.  This time I thought I would cheeze it up.  I think I did a good job.  Thinking back I'm reminded of my favorite line from Batman Begins, "Does it come in black?"  Yes, I do obviously.  But I bought my shirt the night before the race.  So there wasn't that great a selection.  I was in a rush.  Shorts I bought a month ago.  What is the phrase, "Cover your @$$"!

My time was nothing to speak of.  That is all.

I should have signed up for the longer event.  Oh well.  I got my experience in.  I'll do one Olympic distance Triathlon and I think I'll be good.  I think for the foreseeable future I'd like to return to my mountain bike a bit more.

I almost got my thumb up for a "thumb's up, buddy".

Everyone at the event was super cool.  Staff was super nice.  All the people helping were great.  A great event for a first timer like I was this last weekend.
