Much needed maintenance

After further inspection, my ole road bike might need some work before it will be safe to ride. I'm not sure if it is my crash or just age that is getting to the old iron. This has been the cheapest bike I've ever owned. I've spent $100 on it in total cost. I'd like to keep it that way. The thing that keeps getting stuck in my head is going and just getting a new road bike.

Work Checklist:
- new rims or fix existing (spokes are coming apart)
- front derailer (fix or get new one)
- pedals (not clip in, but shoe cover ones)
- tires (back tire might need some new rubber)

What I've updated over the years:
- rear derailer (new shimano)
- seat (from old mountain bike)
- new grips
- tires

Cheers,
